Terms and Conditions
In these terms and conditions “we”, “us”, “our” means Plunder Ltd; “you”, “your” means the artist or group of artists entering into this agreement with us.
- The rental fee is £400 for the calendar month. We require a £200 deposit for any bookings made more than 3 months in advance. The full rental is payable 3 months before the month you have booked (for example, by the last day of August if you have booked the month of December). Until then, deposits are refundable.
- The rental period is from the first day until the penultimate day of the calendar month. The gallery wall will be empty on the last day of the month to allow for changeover between exhibitions. You can agree a later start date and earlier end date with us, but this does not mean a reduction in the rental fee.
- The rental includes the opportunity to have a two-hour hosted private view during an evening and outside of usual shop opening times, by arrangement with us. We can provide free tea and coffee, plus cups, glasses, plates, etc.; you need to provide any alcoholic drinks, cold soft drinks, and food you wish to offer to attendees.
- Sales are processed by Plunder Ltd. There is no commission on sales, however we take a 5% handling fee for any and all sales to cover our costs. We can transfer your sales income either weekly or at the end of the month, as agreed in advance.
- Art will be hung on the day you deliver it, after the shop closes. You need to deliver it by 10:00 or after 17:00 on the day before the agreed start date of the exhibition (by 11:00 / after 15:00 on Sundays).
- Art will be taken down after the shop closes on the final day of the exhibition. You need to collect it by arrangement with us that evening or before 10:00 the following morning (11:00 on Sundays).
- We can only hold items that are actively on display (on the gallery wall and your designated display areas) and only between the drop off and collection times we have agreed. This means:
- We can’t store extra items to replenish displays (but you are welcome to come and top them up during the duration of the exhibition);
- If buyers have not collected their purchased items, we can’t hold them beyond the agreed time you collect your items from us.
- Plunder Ltd has public liability, contents, and exhibition insurance, however we strongly recommend you source your own fine art insurance as well. While we will do our best to keep any items you leave with us safe on our premises, you do so at your own risk and we accept no liability for damage or theft.
- We will not display anything made using generative AI (including, but not limited to, images or text created by, sourced from, created with, enhanced by, or processed by GPT, LLM, or ANN models) or content not created by a human being.
- It is your responsibility to promote and market your exhibition. We will: have a sign outside Plunder advertising your exhibition during the month it is on; publish 3 posts to each of our image based social media channels during the month; provide a barrel-top window display area.
- Our hanging system consists of a picture rail, hanging wires and Zipper hooks. You need to prepare your pieces so they can be hung with this system. You also need to prepare your own artwork label cards, which will be stuck to the gallery wall near the artwork (using sticky dots that we will provide).
